Hardly. It's a great game for sure but very definitely part of the GTA canon.

November 2nd is the 'official' release date apparently. Personally, I think it'll be delayed for the 1492th time until the new year at least.

Very unlikely to be delayed now, its never been this close. I imagine they are in the process of manufacturing the discs or very close to it.

You're probably right, but it really wouldn't surprise me if they did delay it again
