What car race game? I have no idea!

I do not have a clue about computer games! I need to buy a game for a friend's boy, he is 12. He has an X Box 360 I am told. He does not have a car race game, what should I get him? I don't want to spend too much, not £40! Maybe £10-£20 will be okay.

Any recommendations on what and where to buy?

Forza 3? Google could tell you the closest place you could buy it, job done. Have you got enough time to get it from amazon or similar?

Forza 3 is the best and only 12 quid on amazon at the moment. Other then that Grid is fun and also Shift.

x2 to Forza 3, Grid isn't a bad suggestion for a 12 year old (big crashes), maybe Dirt 2 depending on what he's into

just goin away from the slightly more serious games as said above - if he wants a bit more arcadey - need for speed shift is a decent choice will be cheap too. burnout paradise is a good one with lots of big crashes etc.

ask him what his friends have too...

Burnout Paradise, there's a version of it (Ultimate Box?) that has most of the extra downloads with it. Or Forza 3.
