Forza 3 Drift Tunes

I tried getting hold of some proper drift tunes on the auction house and found one thing in common. Most of them seemed built around the premace that the best way to drift is to add the maximum amount of power and to hell with anything else. Hated all but a few (very expensive) tunes I got hold of. This prompted me to build a few for myself to suited the less experienced "fun" drifter. Now I've not really bothered selling my tunes before but having had a couple of these reviewed and liked by another Pistonheader I thought I might as well put them on the auction house.
They are all pretty much tuned around the "less is more" idea. I can't stand (or drive
) the drift tunes with 600/700bhp with spikey big turbo power deliver. Mine are way more friendly and I've tried to concentrate (on the whole) on smooth delivery and balance. I'm not a champion drifter, just a learner, so the comments for each are my opinion...
Honda S2000...
484bhp (S657) Very, very smooth delivery. I'm not that good at drifting but can drive this thing all day sideways. I think the balance of the power v grip is just right. In the middle gears it will need a little bit of provocation to step out but once there will stay there for as long as you want it. Is balanced both in slow and fast drifts.
Fiat 500 Abarth (RWD obviously)
315bhp (B500). Total left field choice for a drift car and a huge amount of fun for it. Much more of a knife edge once sideways but can be held into big, big drifts at lower speeds. Again, it doesn't have the most power available so is actually manageable. Used this car with another Pistonheader and whilst we planned to try loads of different drift tunes we ended up staying in these for ages. Massive fun.
Honda Civic Si Coupe (2006) (not my paint I'm afraid)
515bhp (S631). This one goes slightly against my self imposed "balance over power" rule but the delivery of the horses remains pretty smooth. It's the hardest one to drift (for me anyway) but I can still hold it far better than some of the drift "tunes" downloaded from the storefront. Much faster drifter and seems to settle at bigger speeds.
Finally in keeping with the fact that this is Pistonheads...
MX5 Mk1
248bhp (B498). Very smooth, again needs to be provoked at lower speeds but maintains a really good balance once sideways. Faster drifts are also slightly easier due to the balance.
All are on the storefront now priced at 10k each which is from my research quite a fair price looking at the prices of some of the big power tunes. The parts total will be at most 130k but most of the cars should already be in your garage or are cheap to buy new (the MX5 is only 6k )
My xbox live is as per my user name here but the fastest way to find my storefront is to search out the Fiat 500 drifter tune... not sure there is many available for some reason

To all pistonheaders I would thoroughly recommend the Miata! Excellent poise. A very good novice car 
The Fiat 500 is lunacy... such a tiny wheelbase though so needs nursing into a slide, will hold the slide all day long though. great stuff
The Civic and the S2000 I couldn't get on with though Civ. Work out a way to settle the back end of the Civic and it would be awesome though!

Reworking a bit on the Civic and S2000 now. Got the S2000 a bit less twitchy and will re-update on the auction house once I think it's slightly more friendly (although Oli Speed king loved it as is so I will upload a second version of it with the tweaks).
I will also upload my 2010 MX5 concept tune this week as (you might have noticed in our drifting last night) this thing is seriously well balanced. Probably the best I've done.
ps. Will work something out for you should you wish to have the Mk2 seeing as you have already got the Mk1

Gotta say I'm V impressed with these tunes. I have always been a mid-table drifter, however armed with the Fiat 500 of all cars... I was easily hitting 1st and 2nd places against people with considerably higher ratings than I am last night... to the point I was kicked out of two lobbies....

I agree, the 500 tune is utterly bonkers but so nice to use.
I've actually got two more tunes ready but couldn't get them uploaded last night as the Forza storefront wasn't working for me. Two more Mazda MX5 tunes. One for the Roadster (folding hardtop one) and one for the 2010 superlight concept (from the DLC pack). The concept tune is (IMHO) the best one yet by a long way.
ps. I've even created a small simple "Company" logo (CP Drift with a dragon an everything
) should those who like the tunes wish to add a sticker for the "tuning house" 
. I will get that uploaded with the other two tunes tonight.If you new to drifting I would recomend the MX5 or the 500 as these are built at the slower end of the drifting speed scale. The S2000 seems to be a little bit marmite (Oli speed King liked it, Kodiak not so much).
Alternatively (and if you have the DLC including the car) hang on until later for the 2010 MX5 Speedster concept tune. I can't stress enough how friendly I find this car. It's got good power for lower speed stuff and great balance once you get confident. As much as I love playing in the 500 it's this tune that I personally rate as the best one I've stumbled across

If you don't have the DLC I will have a version of the tune adapted for the standard MX5 with the folding hardtop also online this evening, storefront allowing.

S623, 319bhp. This thing is all about balance. Seriously. Even I can drift this thing as long as I want. Nothing more to say...
... but if you don't have the DLC I have also uploaded a near identical feeling tune for the MX5 with the folding hardtop. It's A587, 349bhp, but don't let the figures fool you. The car is very similar to the concept tune above.
