DO IT!!It is very good - concentrating so hard round Bahrain that hadn't noticed the yellow flags, came round a corner with a Virgin Racing car facing me and promptly spun off in sympathy.
First go, after 5 minutes I thought it was crap but as you settle into it it really starts to grow on you

Agreed. I thought it was too arcadey to start with, but after a few races, I'm getting it a bit more. 
This is a truly awful game, its the worst game in its generation considering what platform and what it represents I've ever seen.

Bernie should be ashamed of himself working with Codemasters. My eyes are already hanging out the sockets which is always what happens when the frame rate is low and the graphics are poor. This reminds me of years ago ahving rubbish PC's and trying to get a frame rate that would be comfortable to look at for a few hours. Gran Turismo and Ferrari Virtual Academy you can sit there hour on hour without it causing any discomfort. Codemasters have really messed this oppotunity right up.

Going against the grain here... On first impressions I absolutely hate it!
To me (a very casual gamer) It feels like, well, a game from the PS1 but with much better graphics. It's too arcadey for me I think - and I hate the way the cars feel to drive (no feedback?). I can't really articulate quite all the things that let it down for me but basically I reckon my expectations of it standing up to Forza were not realistic.
Anyone want to swap my copy for Red Dead Redemption?

I will admit, I've only played on an xbox controller but it's way WAY too skittery... There's next to no gradual input when it comes to car control.
It is probably a game that needs a steering wheel, so I'm gonna see if I can pick up a second hand MS wheel from Gamestation or someone like that, but I shall perservere on the pad for the minute.
The corner cutting regs etc really grate too... I didn't know you could cut a corner by running wide!

I'm not much good at driving games so generally I just like to muck about with time trials and see how well I can learn a circuit but the fact that one slight off invalidates your lap and then another on the same lap will invalidate the next lap makes me want to throw my controller through the screen. I'll give it a few more go's but I can see this being binned pretty soon.On the plus side the multiplayer is quite good but I don't think it's enough to hold my interest.

Another Codemasters game iirc?
I've had another go this morning and am feeling less 'toys out of the pram' regarding this game. Started career mode and was able to get to grips with Bahrain and was able to lap it reasonably well. It was a bit annoying though that I was constantly being told that Trulli was faster than me when he clearly wasn't his best lap was 5 seconds slower than mine. It also seemed to lack a little credibility as I managed to put the Lotus on pole 2.5 seconds infront of Mark Webber! This might be because I'm playing on the easiest setting so I'll try some harder settings to see if it gets a little more realistic.
