Getting a gamer tag on a PS3

Although I have owned a ps3 since launch, tonight was the first time I have hooked up online to create a gamer tag.
Trying to keep things simple, I tried to stick with my xbox tag of satans worm, however I was informed I was not allowed this.
So I tried lots of different versions using 4 5 as substitute letters, all to no avail.
I then tried bumcrack (as inspired from a ph poster) , once again denied.
I then tried knickersniffer ( wifes idea that made me giggle) once again using different versions, all not allowed.
Finaly I tried 'I'm an idiot' (immature but fig it would make me smile every time someone said it) but was denied even this cheap laugh.

So, what's the story here? Can't believe all those names are gone??
How so I get a gamertag? And any suggestions

With the ps3 being free to play online alot of people have a few accounts so there taking up more names.
Try adding letters like Iam__anidiot

always used my username ROB_GTR on all websites and never had any trouble on PSN either......

as said just try different variations and add lines - _ or other symbols i recon

But that would mean there are at least 5 different versions of satans worm, i mean, who would have a stupid name like that

I guess I just wondered if a restriction was put on anything remotely politically incorrect
