Not a Halo fan boy and to me its a half decent FFS. However it's one of the best FFS out thats only on consoles and the story aint half bad. Plus bungie are good at taking the best bits of other peoples work and merging them together.
It wasnt until I saw there map editor this time that my eyes opened wide. Looks real easy to use and could be massive fun.
So who is getting this?? I pre ordered my legendary boxed set today (sucker for limited editions)

its a game i really struggle to get into, it feels unbalanced online and just doesnt click with me very well.
I really wanna enjoy halo online but dont, single players ok, but with so many games out that take alot of my time up i never get time to play through it (ODST)
I know what you mean no other game makes me more pissed off playing online than Halo lolI really wanna enjoy halo online but dont, single players ok, but with so many games out that take alot of my time up i never get time to play through it (ODST)
Just thought it would be better mucking about on Reach as you can make race tracks and things like that. Could be a giggle

I thought you were having a mini rant, until I realised you meant to say FPS It wasnt until I saw there map editor this time that my eyes opened wide. Looks real easy to use and could be massive fun.

I will be getting it for the single/co-op play, but historically not liked Halo games online

It's only coming out on one console, but some other Halo games have worked their way onto the PC as well, so it may arrive one day ?

Well Microsoft Game Studios have said they are not supporting Windows anymore hence why Alan Wake (the DX10 show case game) got scrapped for Windows and re done as a xbox only title.
I'll be getting it! What extra toys did the legendary edition give? I don't normally go for the LE stuff, but I did get the Forza 3 pack and the Halo:ODST limited edition-with the Halo controller. Am telling myself just to get the standard edition but I can see the temptation running away with me again!
Out of multi and single player - it's the multiplayer Halo I like, even if the slight majority of the games you play are against either very good or slightly cheating Americans... under the age of 11 but with the vocabulary of your average time-served sailor.

I'll be getting it. I hope they get back to the feel of halo 2 multiplayer. As that was IMO way better than halo 3 multiplayer. I did enjoy the beta, and the armour abilities gave the game that fresh bit that was lacking. Between this, call of duty black ops, fallout new Vegas and the formula 1 2010. I can see this being a very good end of the year for gaming!

whats the other big differences with odst?
Not much story was a bit mashed time line flicking around to different parts of the day as you play each member of the drop team.whats the other big differences with odst?
Its probably better game play as the other Halo's but the time line is a little messed up as it's supose to take part at the same time as Halo 2 However the Elites and Brutes kill each other within 3 hours of the covenent ship leaving earth (start of halo 2). Yet in Halo 2 the elites dont leave until the very end.
online halo is tough. infact if you didnt learn it a few years ago you will be so far behind the curve you cant catch up and it wont be fun. not to mention playing with friends and communication is key to win. you can beat a team 5-10 ranks higher if you communicate and they dont. but the high end of halo 40-50 rank easyly put in 4-6 hours a day EVERY day when it first came out. its insane but myself and friends were playing for even more. im only a 41 not good enough with the sniper to get much higher. it shows how far games have come now when there isnt really enough time to reach the top of more than 1 or 2 games.

Halo Reach is available on September 14th. I love love LOVE these games, the orginal halo is what inspired me to buy my first Xbox. Can't wait for this one.
Anyone pre-ordered?
I have. Standard edition from Tesco with discount code and staff discount from my sister in law - Came out at £31 in the end.Anyone pre-ordered?
Looks from what I've seen to be a much better campaign compared to 3, which in my eyes was s
t 1 and 2 were epic and had loads of playability after completion. The new guns look much better and so does the overal gameplay and graphics. Also the new forge looks epic, you literally create your own maps from sctratch.
I haven't pre-ordered though I'll be waiting to see what it's like when my mate gets it.

Bump. Don't know anything about this game. Can anyone tell me if it's worth it?
Is it a new game or an expansion like ODST? It looks very similar to Halo 3? Is it?
I enjoyed the coop and the DM in Halo 3, nothing like throwing a sticky grenade up a lift shaft and it connecting.
I wouldnt really say odst was an expantion, took me a few goood hours to complete. Is it a new game or an expansion like ODST? It looks very similar to Halo 3? Is it?
