No Crackdown 2 thread?

Demo is out today, if you didn't play the first game, it was bloody excellent fun, especially just sandboxing around in multiplayer.

I haven't played the demo yet, the developers have changed since last time but a lot of the team are the same, hopefully they've injected the same amount of fun into it.

I believe the multiplayer demo is 4 player coop, which should be good.

had a quick game, its basically a set level for 30mins. seems very much like the original... nothing too majorly different!

Loved the first game, really looking forward to this one.

Meant to be more of the mutated folk this time around. Come out at night apparently and should be more of a challenge for your agent than the normal bad guys.

they are! there seem to be ridiculous numbers of the 'freaks' was good for getting my driving score up as you just run them over. It was however very annoying when trying to help a friend up that had died.

i know its a demo, but its fudging annoying spending 20mins collecting agility orbs and then after 30mins you go back to square one.

You can freeze the timer easily with this. biggrin

any friends joining your lobby get their timers frozen too, just avoid races/rooftop races, as they seem to restart the timer.

Apparently you just disconnect your router once you start playing and that stops the timer. Then just re-connect it, as long as you don't enter a race the timer will never start again.

If you have played the demo this will make more sense but basically,

You go to play the game as normal, then just as you choose you character and then colour it says something along the lines of 'are you sure' etc etc and 'to lauch press a' Well on that screen you press a to launch and sign out of xbox live at the same time, for me this meant ripping the network cable out as i pressed A. Then when it says 'cant create game' etc etc, you sign back into live, then cancel the 'cant create game' message and continue as normal. Roberts your mothers brother. simpler than it sounds.

Or just watch the video when you get home.

I played this with 2 others the other night (including Salgar, above) and have to say that after 4 play throughs I'm a bit underwhelmed. Obviously it's good (it's a zombie-ploughing climby jumpy boom-fest after all), but it doesn't have the novelty that the first Crackdown demo had. With so many other new games out that I need to play (RDR for starters) I just can't see myself stumping up £40 for this on release frown 'Tis a shame, as I really wanted it to be as exciting as the first excellent game.

It doesn't feel as fluid as the first game for me. Crackdown was immense, Crackdown 2 feels like a chinese copy.
