X-Box help please

Thanks for reading . I bought my son an X-box last christmas , & alls been fine until last week, cod-4 & FIFA- 10 the games he plays the most will not load or basically do anything , the games he never plays seem to work fine ,as do DVD's , we have had the games cleaned at game & they still will not work , getting pretty egged off with my son as his world seems to have ended without his fix of fifa & cod 4 , please help before he deep depression sets in , he's getting unbearable , oh & btw the games cost me £5.00 to clean

What condition are the disks in? a disk clean wont remove heavy scratches and it sounds as if the problem is him not looking after the games properly, although the xbox disk drive does sometimes break, but doesnt sound like thats the problem.

Alot of my games are heavily scratched, if i leave a game out for longer than 5 mins my 2 year old destroys them haha.
