Very dissapointed - BFBC2

Well I finally got hold of BC2 after all the praise heaped on it, and being told its so much better than the demo, played it for a couple of hours now, and still hate it!

After all the complaints from everyone about MW2, all I'm finding is a bunch of camping tw*ts with sniper rifles or people I empty a clip into before they get one shot off and kill me with it.

I'll give it a bit longer before it goes on ebay, but at the moment I'm still not convinced.

BC2 isn't all about killing, it's about working as a team to obtain an objective.

I found one game I was playing with Spetsnaz that I totalled well over a thousand point from just keeping him covered and re-stocking his ammo. I think I only got about 3 kills.

Same when I play as an engineer, I usually demand to drive and I keep the vehicle healthy aswell.

Also, play with some PH'ers and not randoms, makes the game soo much better.

Do any PH'ers play on the PC or is it mainly on the xbox?

Some games I will go for ages without being sniped. Others it happens all the time. Its not a huge worry for me, as its more about the objective than the kills.

Wait till you get the M60 with 4x Scope... then they will be sorry.

Except it's been "nerfed" in the recent patch.

And as mentioned, the team can make or break this game. I've been in games where my "team" (used in the losest sense) have been mainly snipers, making no attempt to take the objective, just happy to sit there and snipe.

Then there are the guys in tanks who don't push forward in Rush, they just sit back, picking off people, lobbing shells.

Unfortunately, bad games tend to outweigh the good, but if you can get into a good, team-playing game, it really is awesome.

My name is Sakanoue on the PC. Our server is called "Get to the chopper" its baised in Chard so ping is quite nice

As for the campers I love nothing better than them, I will normally die maybe once or twice by them and then just go and stab them.

Best score so far is 23k points from 1 game.

Then you are not sneaking around enough - it is usually possible to outflank the snipers and stab them in the back. And playing with randoms makes life more difficult. Have you tried out the tank or choppers?

Some maps are good for snipers (Isla) but then it is possible to go round the ridge and then shoot the snipers at close range. It is also possible to use a assault rifle to shoot the snipers! That is fun.

And it sounds like you have lag issues. This seems to go in fits and starts, if it's too laggy just bail out of the server. Oh, as you have just got it I assume you don't have magnum ammo as well. Once you have unlocked the right weapons and equipment, it is more fun.

Ahh.. I didnt know that had been done already. Been using the XM8 LMG for a while, will have to try it.

i'd agree with all of that. As your new to the game i'd bet that you need to unlock some better guns and adjust your playing style. Ideally you want to get in a squad also. I dont really play it by myself ever as i find i have the same trouble as you most of the time! just spawn die spawn die spawn die...

Forgot to add, if possible, use your mic. It makes life a lot easier if you can tell each other where the enemy are.
