No.

Deus Ex 1 was genius; a classic. Despite some dodgy AI, it still had one of the best decision-based storylines, with real depth, great characters and genuine intelligence.

This will go the same way Deus Ex 2 did in comparison, and the same way that Bioshock went with the System Shock franchise. It'll have a decent story hidden behind flashy graphics with action-heavy gameplay and tacked on, barely worthwhile RPG elements. Heck, as great as Mass Effect 2 was, even that succumbed to "The Shallowing"

Because that's what sells. Not that I'm in any way bitter about it.

I stil play Deus Ex V.1 my pistol is so maxed out i barely have need for owt else! Such such a good game, recently ran it on my mates Uber computer.... (sig nif smoother graphics!) it still holds its own, its in there with Doom and Quake....

Enjoyed the 1st alot.

I never thought the 2nd was that bad, just different. They had a hard job maching v1 and if they had just released that with shinier graphics there would have been trouble.

I reserve judgement.

Deus Ex 1 was and still is one of the best games IMO.
Awesome when launched and still thoroughly addictive now.
V2 was a disappointment for me.
