An end to original xbox live support

Xbox will end support for online play on all xbox original games tomorrow night (wednesday)

I believe that tonight is the last night that you can play Halo 2 online.

It's the end of an era. Halo 2 online was, for me, better than Halo 3 online.

Shirely they'd offer some type of support? Don't they offer those games on Xbox Live currently on the on demand thing? Xbox Originals?

Ah man that sucks. I like you prefered Halo 2 by miles, it also helped that I was better at it as well. Surely there's a loophole somewhere to play the games.

Is XBConnect still running?

Used via a PC/Laptop, you ran an MSN style program that fooled the Xbox into thinking it was on a LAN.

It's how I used to play online before I got the 360 and Live.

Not played halo 2 online, got it on the PC so may give it a go. Got quite a few achivements to get

It's a bloody shame, only about a month ago I fired up Halo 2 and gave it a whirl online. It was still as fun as I remembered it.

I'm going to miss it. Hopefully something will happen to keep even just Halo 2 alive.

There goes my plan of buying an old Xbox to replace the one I bricked fecking about with the OS and playing Midtown Madness 3 online. Still want it so I can play Rallisport Challenge 2 again… best driving game ever
