WTF's wrong with my PS3/CoD????

Ok, so I borrowed World at War from my brother in law a few weeks back, and as I've never played FPS on the PS3 I started doing the Solo stuff, on Recruit - Bear with me!!

Finished it, and by accident on one of the later levels, I found a Death Card... not knowing what this was or anything, I ignored it...

A couple of days later, I had a look on t'internet, to find I had another twelve of the damn things to find... so every now and then, I did one of the Solo missions again to get the cards...

I had just over half of them by the start of this week, then on Monday, went to start on of the levels, but they were all greyed out again like I hadn't played before...

So, as I am now a little more capable, I thought I'd do it on Regular, rather than Recruit (brave eh?)

Blitzed it this week, on the last level earlier today, went and got my "last" Death Card... and it's said "You have found Death Card 1/13"... Come again???!!?!

So I quit out of the game, go to Mission select, and the only level I can choose is the first, and the last (the one I'd just quit out of!)... WTF?!

So, continued the saved game, finished off the last level, went back to Mission Select, now I can pick any level, but there is no icon showing which level it's been completed on (apart from the last one) as in, it's not been completed...

Now, I'm not too fussed about whether I can see what settings I completed which level on, but I would like my frigging Death Cards back, and the trophy to go with it!!!

Why is it doing this? I always save and quit the game properly, and shut down the PS3 properly, so why is it (I'm guessing) loosing/corrupting my game save data???

You can download completed game saves if you don't fancy doing it all over again.

I have no idea what is wrong, are you sure noones effin about with your machine??

Downloading the saved game wont give me the Trophy though will it?

Definitely nobody effing about with it (unless via Internet!) I did three other missions directly before moving onto the last, no saving, no quiting, no restarting or anything....

Do you have more than one profile on your PS3? Could it be that your first game was on one profile, and your second is on the other profile? Not sure if this would result in what you are seeing, but it's worth checking.

Nope, all on one profile...

As I said above, it's even done it while I was still playing...

Sounds a bit iffy. Might be worth backing up the save games you need and formatting the PS3.

Wasn't there an isue with a PS3 update recently that screwed up Trophies?

Make sure your PS3 has the latest system update.

Trophies are fine, I didn't start the game 'til after the "issue" from 1st March... and I have gained a load of trophies since then... Including two yesterday, which are still there... It's had the latest fw on there since it was released...

The only thing I can think of... I did all the Solo stuff yesterday not signed in to PSN...

As I was getting bored, I signed in to PSN to see who else was online etc... then sign back out again... Maybe that confused it?

Pretty crap if it did!!
