The original Carmageddon. Excellent physics/handling, plus you get to do what you really want to do in a driving game: run people over!

yep, gpls in a different league to anything thats been done yet, and probaly for the forseeable future. in fact i dont play any other games now, they all feel like your driving boats after gpl

In a very particular order...(i.e GPL is clearly the best!)

1. Grand Prix Legends
2. Gran Turismo (for its time GT2 was the best IMO)
3. Duel: The Test Drive II (PC and Amiga early 90's)
4. Driver
5. Hard Driving (on the arcade)

I remember it from the game boy. You had to chase a car, when it had a 500 mile advantage over you. Using turbos to catch up to it, once you got to it, you had to ram it until it reached its damage metre and then you arrested the "bad" guys.

Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga/PC... The rollercosater track was awesome...

(Programmed by one Geoff Crammond who later went on to produce all the "Grand Prix" games for PC...)
