Headphones for Gaming

I've been looking to get some headphones so that I can game late night without worrying about noise.

Dont want to spend more than £50 on a set, I've seen the Turtle Beach X1s but they appear to be sold out everywhere. Anyone bought some and rate them, or bought an alternative? I'd like the voice chat option too (rather than buying a set of normal headphones)

I've got a set of Microsoft LifeChat LX-2000 Headphones. Bought them from Tesco for less than £20.

Sound quality and comfort is excellent.

The only thing with USB is that when you plug them in, there is a slight delay until they actually start to work (Just a few seconds).

Also if you are in a game and plug them in, the game may not recognise them unless it is restarted.

I don't think those are faults of the headset though.

I used

Creative Labs Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset

for PC gaming (until I broke them).

They're excellent, really comfortable and the sound quality was mind boggling... so if you have and Aux port on your tv you can plug them into and aren't requiring a mic to talk to others on the xbox then these are the best I could recommend.

Nope, thats my fault for not reading the OP properly.

They are a bit more than £50 (£75 or so i think), but, having been through several sets of different headphones over the years trying to find a decent set....these are by far the best I've used to date.

The sound quality is superb, and very user friendly!! If you can, I suggest stretching the budget a little to get these.


Plus, there's a little bit of fun to be had with the Voice Morphing on the mic

Thanks for the reply. Mic isnt important to me, I've been there and done that with the clan thing on PC. My need for a decent set of headphone is so the OH doesnt get annoyed with a bit of CS public fun/the odd bit of driving games on PC in the background
