We need to organize some regular dog fighting or formation flying on some of these flight sims..

god i hope not the console il2 was as much a sim as hawx.does this have all the feel as il2? ie the shaky plane on hard turns etc? sorry for grammar having to use the ps3 due to dead gfx card

No. Same company but this is a new game developed for PCs.

There's an easy flight style, a simlator style and realistic versions to choose from.

You sure about that??? It seems to play exactly the same as IL:2 on the 360, has the same menus, background music, ingame sfx, flight dynamics...

The graphics are better but that's about it...

the flight model is terrible, its more of a simplified arcade sim..

The first thing I noticed when fighting a SPIT 2 whilst piloting my 109 K4 was seeing the spitfire 2 out zoom climb me, despite me having more E. There is also no torque effect from the k4s engine etc, In a p47 I could turn fight low on the deck with a hurrican. 109s Diving like a jug with no loss of control services etc etc

If you want to try a game that has a great flight model with great physics try Aces High 2, the graphics are not as good as Wings of prey.


However, it is quite fun for a 10 minute quake style dog fight.

I went on what I have read, not a port but an exclusive PC game. I've never played any Xbox game so I'm basing my experience of IL-2 Sturmovik and it's similar to that to me.

What flight mode did you try?

All of them, easy, hard and sim... it's almost a 1:1 port of IL:2 BoP on the 360

Simulator,

Its a fun game, but its more like a quake version of a flight sim,

I would recommend to everyone to try out aces high 2, it deos have a very step learning curve
