Wii server issues?

Since last night, my (new) Wii has refused to connect to the server, citing error code 51330. I've looked on the support.nintendo.com website, which was little help, and I know that my wireless router is ok (since I'm on here now). I've tried deleting and re-installing my router and still nothing. It's been working a treat from Christmas to last night.

Anyone else having issues connecting on their Wii, or is it still more likely to be an issue with my own hardware?

I think the Wii requires 802.11b to connect. I suspect you might have G and N only enabled.

Cheers, but I think G is ok (N doesn't seem to be) - it was working fine up until last night for iplayer, internet and Mario Kart online, but just not doing anything at the minute. Are you still able to connect fine then?

Do you have a laptop that you can use to scan for other wireless networks? It could be that someone else has got a new router for xmas and used the same channel as you.

Silly question, have you tried rebooting the router, I need to do this at times.

Can't believe that I just followed the stupid Wii advice of looking on the Nintendo support website and not using Google...!

Was about to start going through some of the several suggestions there, when the fecking thing started working again of its own accord - didn't even need a reboot. Will keep an eye on it... Cheers for the help everyone!

My router is G only and the Wii connects fine.
Probably just a reboot problem.
