I love Charlie Brooker and that is a great article.

It's really interesting to read his column when he isn't being a curmudgeon. Oddly off putting, I keep expecting him to jump from the screen and punch me in the face.

That's a really great article. I'm definitely one of those people that is infuriated when non-gamers try and fail miserably. I'm all for bringing gaming to the masses, but if you try for a good half hour and don't grasp even the basic concept, then it isn't for you.

I used to enjoy the occasional game of Gran Turismo or Tekken with past girlfriends. They'd always have their own game save though, because you'd never want them to affect your own score.

However, Not so sure about Fallout 3 as an option for those new to gaming.

He orginally wrote for PC Zone back in the day, culminating in the 'Cruelty Zoo' page. After the questions raised in Parliment he backed off and moved on. Shame, back in the day that mag was excellent. I'd buy it for the humour rather than the games.

Brilliant article, tried my other half out at MW2, mindless, silly and too graphic. So tried Forza with my basic lowest classed and idiot proof 4WD Beetle, every panel dead by the end of lap one........finally found a game she likes.....Lego Star Wars.....not because she is any good at it, but she finds it hilarious to;

a) refuse to walk in the same direction as me, to the point where I say 'come on follow me...please walk this way....FFS will you fking well come this way!!!'

b) While creeping around trying to be low key, blend in and not be detected......she bloody well opens fire and causes a complete st cart and lazers rain upon us from all directions!!!!
