Forza 3 set ups.

Should be called set ups, not tunes. Tunes are a cough sweet or a horrible american term. If you change the tuning set up on your car (american terms) - you have changed the set up, not the tune?! If you have upgraded parts on your car, you have modified/upgraded it, you have not "tuned" it.

Have always used the term 'tuning' or 'tuned' when working with cars, since buying my 1st car manual at 17....'Tuning the BL A-series engine' by David Vizard (which was an English book).

I can accept it in the game, but when people on here babble on about "tunes" all the time it just irritates. I mean, everyone knows that the cherry flavour is best, so why so many topics about them?? I have no idea why people then start talking about set ups? It is a little misleading...

Curry, just an irritation that I fear may bring the americanism to become acceptable here.

You can tune an engine.. slightly different, people talk about tune's here when they mean set ups. That is my issue with the term.

As an aside, did you know David Vizard is on here? He has posted once or twice in the Cerbera forum.

Nope, but post up the set-up/spec on here and I'll try and help. Oh and a brief idea of what you want it to handle like/ what issues to cure.

As ^^^^ either post the spec on here, or if your really stuck, build a car to similar 'spec' and gift it to one of us 'tuners' (hehehe) and we will 'tune' it (hehehe again) for you

I use the calculator at www.croisened.com in FM2.

Someone on the FM.net forums said it works on the FM3 cars as well, though I haven't tested it myself yet.

I agree with the OP, the Americanisms that seem to be making there way to our shores is really widing me up, not just in games.

I spoke to a chap at work the other day who said he had never owned a stock car. I said i doubeted many people have owned a stock car unless they were involved in motorsport. Why couldnt he just say standard car.
