Basically everytime I start the game I get the message to say "Storefront Credits 49,000" etc, how do I actually use this, does it just add to my existing total or can I only use it in the storefront?

Also what are peoples thoughts on the AH? In FM2 you could only buy designs in the AH, so now with 3 I have made some BTCC replica's, done them up to class B and put them on to make a bit of profit (about 50k). I put a bit of a tune on them as well. I have also put the designs on my SF, for 10k, so what is the point of the AH, people can just buy the designs for 10k and do the car up themselves??

tbh thats excactly what i though... with the cap on the designs in the storefront you cant even make money that way! Basically you just have to rely on people being too lazy to search the storefront for your car designs!

To get your money from the storefront, go to > storefront and there will be a bit on the menu to redeem credits. it takes a few clicks to make it work, as it will say retriving credits and not give you them the first few times. keep trying and eventually you will get them!

Storefront credits come from selling stuff. It just goes to your total and can be used on anything. If you go to your storefront there should be a receive credits button you can use to get them.

Might take a couple of goes as mine never seems to work first time.

The storefront is for designs logos or tunes. The AH is for the full package. listing a car on the AH is like in 2, you loose the car when the auction sells. With the Storefront you dont need to outlay anything to sell, just paint a car and save the design, then put it on the SF.

Also, the AH isnt the mad spending frenzy it used to be. Its harder to scroll down to the bottom and people just arent prepared to pay silly money yet because there is some superb stuff for reasonable prices on the Storefront. Also, you can tell what the most popular tunes/paints are on the SF. On the AH you know nothing about the tune unless it has been advertised and you are looking for a particular sale.

tbh it may work to the advantage of many due to teh fact it will force prices low. unless people start doing one off's etc.

I prefered the good old days of FM2 and selling a painted car for 1 million! I know you purists go on about this ruining the "economy" etc but for me once you've done the single player bit the only real interest for me is buying a car/all the cars, sticking all the mods on it, blasting it round for a while and then moving on to the next thing, fastest FWD, 4WD, something for the best ring lap time, fastest 4 door saloon, that kind of thing! Or my favourite from FM2, best Q car, no visual mods just power, spent ages messing round with various cars for that!

I find the whole thing rather infuriating, The storefront is full of so much crap it's hard to find the good stuff. And when you do buy a car from the auction house, or a tune for that matter, you can't tweak it.

The tune I can sort of understand, but If I buy a car, it's mine! I should be able to do what I like with it. I brought a cheap viper with 700 class points the other day for 35K from a buy-it-now auction, (even though I already had one) thinking I could tweak it to my liking and save some cash on tuning, but as soon as I went to change some upgrades I lost the one's I'd brought. Waste of time/money. Shan't be bothering with it again.

agree its a bit odd, I made great money by painting stock cars last time in FM2, but no real point with the store front.
Dont like the fact if you buy a tunned car and want to tweek it, you lose everything. I purchased many tunners cars in FM2, and as I use more kerbs in my driving style, ( not a good thing mostly ) I always had to play with ride heights etc to get the car good for me. Now unless I msg the seller, that aint happening..

i had the same problem, i bought a bundle of cheap M5's all had gash paint jobs... and as per my FM2 antics, i used to buy all the cars done up with horrid paint jobs that nobody wanted for about 3k.. then sell off the mods, make my money back and sell them on again... now i cant do this as i loose all the mods!?? its really strange!

Why should you be allowed to make profit on another person's work?

I for one, back the decision to lock everything from the AH or SF, it makes it fair everyone that takes the time to tune or paint a car.

It happens all the time in real life, why should Forza be any different wink Allthough personally I would just like to be able to tweak and tune what I've brought, I wouldn't care if I was prevented from reselling it.

But if you're allowed to tweak it, you can see the current settings, then apply those to a new car altogether and just sell that.... bit of a catch 22.

I see the point about using others work, but.. I will not buy any tuned cars this time, spent loads last time, as you cannot test drive them then sell them on if they dont work for you.

I had some great Turbo terror ren 5s, loved them, went to the A class one, could not get on with it at all, easy sell it back in the AH, lost only couple k off my 350k outlay.

Now, if I dont like the way it drives I cannot sell it and I cannot tweek it, so why risk it, the rating system is open to abuse as friends etc can all rate a tune, etc.

Whats to stop someone setting a fast time in one car, and selling loads of similar cars with a rubbish tune?

All these pro tuners, last time in FM2 there were some great set ups, which helped me no end on line.

I appreciate that its open to abuse, but now its gone to much the other way.
