Does anybody know how many levels there are in each prestige & how many prestiges there are?

Level 70 is the top and there are 10 prestige ranks still. You do get something for doing it this time, but I don't know what yet.

You get additional perks and death streaks as well as titles and emblems. Will have to wait a while until some people start prestiging and can show-off what you get.

AK47 is unlocked at level 70...

Yeah but i spose once you unlock everything and go up a prestige you'll lose everything again?!

Yeah, besides your titles and emblems. You do get an extra custom slot though for prestige rank 1. No idea what else it gives you for subsequent ranks.

Basically you will level up to level 70. then you get the choice to start at level 1 all over again. Loosing all your unlocked weapons and achievements etc..All for a new shiny symbol.

And what do you get with the symbol? Nothing?
Then you have to level up again?

(I played MW1 only in single player - and am half way through MW2 in single player. Not played on-line at all, yet.)

It basically marks you out as doing nothing but playing COD all day. There are other little awards associated with doing it, apparently getting all the way to prestige 10 will unlock something worthwhile, but it's not known what yet.

You have to ask to Prestige. It then asks you if you're sure. Dunno if I'll bother this time.
