Who else is also as excited as I am about this coming out. Never really taken to Call of Duty so not that fussed about MW2 coming out.

After all the flops that were supposed to be "the next big thing", i hope it delivers as well as BF2 did, still the best online FPS by a country mile.

And yes, you can destroy pretty much everything - buildings now even collapse if you take out the supporting beams and crush the people inside!

Dont get me wrong, I really enjoy COD but the maps in BC are just much bigger, and therefore offers something different. You're never safe as a sniper, but dont get the flash backs to where the attack came from so you have to work it out. Gameplay is similar as well

loved BF2 - so much bigger than COD....COD4 often feels a bit like a paintball game because of its limited scope to move outside the field of play. Walk 30 secs on any map and you're at the edge.

I've only played Bad Company, it was rather good fun, but I am not sure I like the maps being quite that big. I spent ages running around looking for someone to shoot (though I did alight upon a nice Ack Ack gun in the middle of a field and shoot down someone).

In terms of gameplay you should get Battlefield 1943 as this gives a small taster of what BFBC2 is gonna be like.

I was going to say that I thought they collapsed in the first Bad Company but maybe I'm getting mixed up with Red Faction Guerilla? Yes I think I am. Could you repair the buildings in bad company?

I absolutely loved that game. Different kettle of fish than COD, a lot more tactical stuff involved.

That sounds great. I was dissapointed by the first one due to not all buildings being destructable. Looks like it could be a great game and is different enough to COD to be bought as well.

The good thing with battlefield is that the maps are so big you can actually do exploring in game and then have a fight with someone doing the same on the other team...

Oh and another thing I found on BC was that it was more interative in that other gamers would talk to each other about where to go and who was where etc. In COD, theres no-one on it.

Good point, plus all the vehicle you can drive and proper artillery strikes etc...
