Evenin' all

Just a quickie. Off to buy a PS2 tomorrow. One of the silver ones (very bling ). But will my PS1 memory cards work on it or do I have to get a new one? Don't want to get stuck into GT3 and then discover I can't save my hard earned.

Also any games you guys would recommend? Getting Pro Evo 3 with it and The Getaway off Play.com for a tenner (muchos bargain) and of course GT3. Anything I really should get? Its between me and 5 housemates so we want a selection of games really.

Cheers, Matt

Cheers unlisenced Have played GTA3 and Vice city to death (quite literally) on the PC. Both are fantastic. Can't wait for the next one though. Supposed to be called GTA: San Andreas or something. Out Q4 2004 IIRC. I'll probably wait for the PC version though so sometime in 2005 for that

Prefer PCs for FPS games too. I can't aim a gun using a joypad. Consloes are better for multiplayer though. And there's the small matter of Gran Turismo too. I expect GT4 to slip back further to be honest. Should give me time to complete GT3 though

hehe, be warned though. Took me over 2 years to do all this, lots of on and off playing.

Really?

Ahh, bugger

Cheers for the info. Anyone know where I can get a cheap memory card? £20 for 8megs seems a bit steep.

£20 may sound steep, but you will strugle to fill 8megs.

Just as an example a 10 lap replay on GT3 takes up about 70kbs, with the GT3 game save taking about 150kbs.

Just watch out for some games that have silly game saves.

I've had my PS2 since launch and have got by with two 8meg cardssince then.

Usually PC conversions (FPS that allow you to save anywhere).

I've only got the one card, and it's about 75% used. And I paid £300 for my PS2, so I've had it a while.
