FM3 - Exhaust Effects? Best Sounding Car?

Not the most interesting of subjects, so I thought I'd add on a second question to give the thread a bit of life!

I ask, as I think I'm going mad ... I've been playing career mode and haven't driven many of the higher end cars yet, however with some of the lesser powered cars it sounds as if there is a pop from the exhaust every now and again. It's not on par with the likes of Shift or PGR4, but I'm sure there is something there.

I did a search on the FM3 forums and someone claims there are flames as well ... Anyone seen these themselves?

Anyway, so what is the best sounding car you've come across so far? My Ford GT with race supercharger and race exhaust has a fantastic whine down the straights!

I have to eat my words(a bit) as I was critical of the sound in the demo, so far the engine notes have much more oomph than previously(I guess poor choice of cars in the demo), the NSX gets growly at 5000rpm and builds to a nice crescendo at 8.

The 2010 Camaro has a nice whine with the Supercharger. I've watched when the noise comes in and it isnt always at the same revs, so I think they have made an effort to program the realism (ie take into account load on the engine etc).

And yeah I was surprised at the sound of the Brera, i didnt realise it had a 3.3 litre engine! Oh and the Focus RS has some nice whines and clunks from the engine.

bought myself a dbr9 today - sounds great, the engine sounds like it is in pain, and plenty of popping and banging on gear changes

Come on guys what about the F40 competizione, the wail of the turbo winding up sounds epic! Almost as good as the real thing!

I like my twin turbocharged RX7 FD.

It's rotary so sounds awesome and then the two seperate turbos as you dump them!... excellent!

I have't got bored of my Impreza WRX 09 yet, and i've driven that for nearly all my C class races so far. Also love the sound of the E60 M5.

big fan of the R8 - just the V8 engined one.

Found myself blasting round that crazy japanese nurburgring-esque track just to go through those tunnels at full chat!

just need to buy one now and put a sports exhaust and some updated cams on it
