..an absolute corker of a FPS!

i got it for christmas, but forgot about it (just opened the packaging). it has cartoon style graphics, but dont let that put you off!

it is quite difficult and different to other FPS, e.g. when you pick up an armour helmet, your health still goes down if you get shot in the body or leg i.e. it protects your head only

the plot is really good (you have no memory and so build up evidence as you go!) and the enemy is really clever (when you shoot an arrow behind them, they dont react, do it infront, then prepare to be caught!)

you have the use of grappling hooks to shoot about the levels (access, and great for zipping into buidings JUST above enemies head) and throwing knives!

the Comic book style really works and is done well. theres no loading time (hardly) aswell.

Really like this game and cant recommend it enough. AT LEAST RENT IT!!!

Oh

excellent mode, where you play with 2 teams of 2 (2defend and 2attack) with certain objectives. when one is destroyed (by the attackers) you move to the next target.

if all points are defended in the time limit, then the defence wins!

you can play xbox live aswell (multiplayer)

I've got this for PC and one thing that annoys the hell out of me is the Save Game option.

I don't know whether its me but the Save Game doesn't seem to work. Was playing a level last night (have to get on sub) and despite saving the game at various intervals it would always start me way back near the beginning. Was really getting fustrated with this.

If you can't save at any point (I know some games do this) then why have a Save Game option!?

Anyway it is a pretty good game and is a good filler till DoomIII and HL2, also looking forward to Far Cry.

Rob

This is the PC version btw

like most games, if you die and choose to restart you start at a checkpoint. but if you turned the game off and loaded it, you'd start at the place you saved

happened on Metal Gear Solid, until i worked it out

Its bad design if you ask me.

Still, going to finish it so that I can start on Call of Duty that arrived on Saturday. My sons already started playing it so I need to catch up!

Is there much game left after killing Mongoose?

Got to that level now (or maybe before depending on the stupid save game system) and he's a bit of a tough git.

He's fragged me a couple of times now and I wonder whether to keep plugging away at him or admit defeat and start of CoD. Is the end worth it?
