Guitar Hero Band Bundle

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a cheap place to purchase the Wii version of this game. Most places have sold out except for the ones at stupid prices. I amlooking to spend about £120.00. A quick google has yielded few results and the ones I did find were all out of stock.

I've got it for the Ps3 and dont use the drums or mic now.

Drums are never that responsive esp when you get to Hard mode and mic well i cant sing but i've found sing star etc to be much better.

I wouldnt bother but it is a giggle if you want to play it once and a while at parties.

They were £99.99 in HMV at the weekend for the GH:WT Band In A Box.

If your local HMV doesn't have one, get them to ring around some other branches for you and get one sent over.

Or check their website ?

Edit to say : I don't mean they were £99.99 for the weekend only, just thats what price they were when I was in there at the weekend

I had a similar experience on the first set of drums I had, I took them back and the replacement set is responsive enough. I can complete expert songs with no problems (other than of my own making )

And its the missus that wants it. Have played it once and did enjoy it though.

So, after we've pulled our feet from their respective mouths... What is it with GH?

I'm not anti video game at all, I have a PS3, but I like to race cars on it, or kill Germans or people with towelled heads. These things aren't always practical outside Yorkshire, so it's a bit of fun.

But, GH? I mean, you can get an electric guitar for the same price. No need for add-ons. It sounds better, it's a good skill to learn, will keep you occupied for life, it is what GH is trying to imitate, no? I'm not at all anti - as I said - to each their own and all that, it just seems to me, like the equivalent of someone asking me if I'd like to take their 430 Scud for a blast, and I respond with "no thanks, I've got a tuned one on Gran Turismo."

I had the same view. I was always of the opinion that you may as well just buy a guitar than play GH. Also, if I'm being honest, the idea of pratting around with a plastic guitar made me feel like a fool. All that changed when I picked up a copy of GH Metallica a few months back. Until you have tried it you can't understand just how addictive and great fun it is. Don't think of it as a guitar simulator, consider it a modern take on 'Simon Says' with great music. Try it and there is a good chance you will be hooked.

Yeh, I'm sure you're right - especially if the game's popularity is any indicator. Perhaps this is why I haven't played it - I'm afraid (as a keen guitarist) that I'll get hooked. And my wife will mock. Oh, will she mock.

I've played guitar for years, but I love GH. To continue your real driving/Gran Turismo analogy - I love driving for real and do it a lot, but I also love playing GT. It's escapism, a variation on a theme, something a bit different. One is not a replacement for the other.
