You could always sell your 2 month trial on Ebay, i've seen a few people doing this. You could probably get about £4 (not a great deal of money, but it's better than it rotting away in the box) I was thinking of selling mine because i can't figure out the best way to hook up my internet. I've looked at the XBOX site so i already know about that aspect.

Where do I find out about this 2 month trial free with PGR2? I couldn't see anything in the box?

P.S. My best time is 6.35 in the Porsche 911 GT1. Easily shave a good 5+ seconds off that though without too much bother.

I'm working my way through Platinum to get to the Speed 12 though. Damn, it had better be worth it! Has anyone already got the TVR? Any good?

I've raced against the Speed 12 online. Most folks who have it downloaded the cheat to get it (most admit to it.) Especially as all Platinums is nigh impossible.

I can tell you, it is MUCH faster than any of the other cars.

My brother, who crushes me at PGR and dusts most online, was beaten the other day by a Speed 12 driver who was much less skilled (by his own admission, and what he did in the other cars. In the Enzo he was right at my level.) The Speed 12 is simply insane. In the game that is

That's what I wanted to hear. Currently working my way through the Platinum levels to get it. Just 23 left.....and I think I may be at that number for some time!

Wow, looks like you're doing very well. Those cone challenges are very difficult, especially the SUV ones, they just don't want to over-steer. Do you know if you get anything extra for getting all platinums in arcade and time trial mode? I might first get all golds and work up to platinum so i can have my mercedes clk-gtr. On a side note did anyone find the cone challenge on pacific muscle easy, i did it on platinum on my second go in the skyline.

The Pacific Muscle cone challenges are made a tad easy by the Skyline.

*SPOILER*.....possibly

I found on some of the cone challenges that doing a couple of extra little slides at the start, helps build up the multiplier, thus increasing your score at the end. Also, some of the challenges rely more heavily than others on speed, rather than racking up points by sliding.

To pass platinum i find you just have to do slides to keep the combo going through the whole stage, just the AC cobra which slides really easily handles so badly.

That's the thing though; it doesn't matter how bad it handles, a quick blast on the loud button & the back end comes out to keep the combo going. The Porsche GT1 is great for the cone challenges. It's the Platinum street races that get me. Unless you're in 1st place or right on his bumper, you've got no hope in winning the race. It's a case of learning where & how to get into 1st rather than just driving as fast as you possibly can.

Quick question, is it worth buying an xbox just so I can get PGR2. It seems like such a great racing game, and i could use something different from gt3(since ive mastered it already)

To win races on platinum, it's not skill, you need the fastest accelerating car so you can get to the first corner on the inside really quickly and instead of going around it just plough straight into the person in the lead. It usually does the trick, not very skillful but probably the best way to get those platinums.

what about kudos? i.e. the main feature of the game. this is what happens in every racing game: you slide around the corners using the other cars as a shield/guide.

i like to play PGR2 differently

You can't worry about kudos when you're doing platinum races. It'll take up too much time going sideways on every corner and you won't win. Kudos won't get you the TVR speed 12, platinums will.

true

still though, you can win by racing elegantly, with force and without collision
