Which ISP for playing ps3 online?

At the moment im on Orange broadband which is being a nightmare for setting up my ps3 online. Ive tried loads of guides but none have worked so far and usually end up with me losing my connection. So with my phone contract coming to an end im thinking of changing providers so which one is recommended for speed and ease of set up with the ps3?

I'm with AOL/CPW/Talk Talk, and got my Ps3 connected up within no more 30 secs, pop in wireless password and that was it.

02/BE broadband has a good reputation, unlimited and cheap.

My O2 connection suffers from consistent drop-outs.

I think their "Unlimited" system is a load of nonsense. I suspect they throttle the more frequent users. Sunday's are the worst.

I'm with Be, can't fault it so far, leagues faster than any other ISP I've had and no complaints so far.

Should add with my internet set up ive got the live box next to the phone down stairs and then got a wireless adaptor for my pc and my ps3 will be connected via the wireless if that makes any difference?

I'll probably get flamed for this, and I know that they supposedly went under a few months ago but I'm on Tiscalis cheapest "£14.99 including line rental" package and I absolutely can't fault it.

I use about 3 hours a night online PS3 gaming, and Xbox live (till it died), and perhaps 10Gb/month torrenting, sometimes much more, and internet 4 hours a day and it never drops, never gives up, never sends any usage warnings and is generally brilliant.

It's even better at hosting 10+ person CoD4 matches than friends who have £50+ Per month virgin or sky packages, and all this after being told I was too far from the exchange to have broadband in the first place!

There are numerous online broadband comparison sites, so why not give them a look?

I used tiscali before I moved house and I'm now with Be, I can't fault either of them apart from tiscali's call centre's are a nightmare. Be's customer service has been very easy everything has been dealt with online.

I'm with BT always a strong fast connection no problems with LAG or disconnections at all, but you only get what you pay for i guess as they are not cheap.

Wads with Talk talk now with Sky. Both great connections never drop out, unless Mrs kicks the router that is.

Cheers for the suggestions, will have a look around. Sky is a possibility as we are already with them for their TV package.

If possible, go with one of the unbundled providers. They seem to have better 'backhaul' capacity (the stuff that gets your data from the exchange to the ISP) than the ISPs that share the BT ADSL equipment.

Get cable rather than ADSL if possible. Upload speeds are more relevant for online gaming.
