Xbox finally dead - Get another or PS3?

My xbox 360 has finally died for the third time tonight and i cant be arsed tyring to get microsoft to fix it again. Therefore im looking to buy a new console, either 360 or PS3. What would you all recommend?

Hi buddy sorry to hear of your dilema,

it happened to me twice and on the 2nd time i threw it in the bin and got a ps3 and within 3 days i tell you the truth i went out and bought an elite,

i am used to the 360 setup and controls for games, i hounestly think the 360 is more defined and with the update of the dashboard a lot smoother and is miles

ahead of the gaming scene but thats just my opinion.

the ps3 only gets used for bluerays probably once a month lol.

I have a Wii (ok for rather wet kids and rather odd women .... my kids prefer GOW and COD4 and if i wanted to marry someone to play video games with i'd have been gay)

I have a PS3....blue ray dvd aside, i dont see the point.

I have a 360...love it. If it had an HD DVD i'd not have the PS3

I have both consoles, and tbh i think there is a few factors of which you should base your decision on.

1. If you are a online gamer which console do most of your friends use.
2. What games are you wanting to play, GT5, Metal Gear Solid - PS3 or Forza etc 360
3. Do you require Blueray?

There is no "better console", each have there own strong points.

I bought my 360 just for forza and my ps3 for gt5 and metal gear solid and blueray. Each hardly get used tbh as pc wins my vote lol.

the online gaming side of things is A LOT better on XBL

my PS3 is ONLY used as a blue ray player untill GT5 comes out
