There's UT, UT II - is there UT2003 as well?

Just playing UT II - first game I've played since installing an NVidia 128Mb card back in the spring - it rocks

Nah, I think its: Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Unreal II and Unreal Tournament 2003.

Could be wrong, though, as I only have Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2003...

Whats the current best FPS game on PC? I saw a WW2 game the other day that looks similar to Medal of Honour, 'Call of Duty' or something? Any good?
I need something to stretch my new 3Ghz PC

IMHO there is no better multiplayer fps game than Soldier of Fortune 2. If you want a game that actually takes thinking, strategy and skill, its the game for you. Single player is bollocks though. As for Call of Duty, great game. Single player is fabulous, but multiplayer isnt the greatest. Still great fun.

I've only got 1.2GHz AMD - but with 1Gb memory and 128Mb graphics card and striped harddrives I do fine thanks

Is it just me, or are they not bringing out faster processors as often as before? This time last year the quickest P4 was 3GHz. Fastest on the Dell website now is 3.2Ghz and thats been there for about 6 months! Before last year they seemed to increase by 200MHz every few months.

Unreal Tournament is the best FPS multiplayer game I think. There are loads of really good games but with the Chaos ext pack UT is by far the best. UT2003 is good but the sniper rifle isnt as good.

well it may be the best fps ever, but that all depends on what type of gameplay you liek. If your looking for futuristic alien era "ive got a bigger gun than you do" type of play, then it is one of the best. But my favortie, and which i still think is the best ever is SOF2. quite a classic, now a year or two old, and still one of the best around.

Have to diagree with you there - IMHO UT is simply not as much fun to play as Quake 3. UT has very little movement skill - no matter how good you are everyone moves the same speed. With Q3 you've got strafe jumping - it allows you to move around the map much quicker than people who haven't mastered the skill.
I also prefer the guns of Q3 (if you ignore the BFG) - the guns in UT seem too spammy. I played UT for the first time online a few months back and came third out of 10 players; I did this without conciously changing gun once- it seemed to vhange on pickup and I just spammed lots of ammo towards anything that moved.
