OKay folks, I have searched for the answer to this and not found anything, so apologies if it has been asked before.

After a few months of playing forza offline, I am thinking of getting online with it. I will ideally need a wireless adapter for the xbox - are these up to the job for online racing?

Also, what sort of internet connection speed will I need - I am with Sky at the moment and assume I will need to upgrade from the Base package, but what do I really need?

I dont want to log on and spoil everyone elses fun with my crap setup.

Cheers

James

Your basic ISP service should be plenty faster enough for online gaming, I have had very few problems with Forza (other than the usual stuff) for the last 6 months, only recently suffered some lag on COD4, I would suggest trying to keep to a wired connection rather that wireless.

Wireless adaptors are really good bits of kit on the X-box and as long as your router is up to the job it will be as relaible and fast as a wired connection.

I have had no problems running a 2MB max connection (virgin) so I don't think it is too demanding.

Forza has a great on-line community and although the game is coming up to the end of its' life there are still plenty of people racing. Be sure to check the Forzamotorsport.net forums and get yourself some 'Tuning marketpalce' cars as you will find that there are a lot of FAST people out there.

Send me a FR (same gamertag) when you are live and I will show you the way around the 'ring.

OK, got a wireless adapter on the way from Ebay.

Anyone on here used Ebay for live membership too? There are a lot of 12 month deals for £25-30 on there which seems very cheap compared with MS wanting £40.

Lastly, does anyone know how quickly I am likely to hit the monthly download limit of 2GB imposed by Sky if I take the xbox online?

Cheers

Check out Amazon, they had 3 month passes cheaper than anywhere else recently.

Not sure if your download limit will cause you any problems, never heard of any issues, and not sure but think it is similar to browsing rather than downloading, so minimal usage.
