Started playing the Wii again now that I've got some free time after finishing my degree and the house renovation.

I've currently got the usuals, Wii Sports/Play, Mario Galaxy, Mario/Sonic Olympics and Mario Kart. Also got Lego Indiana Jones and House of Dead, but both these felt a bit short.

I'm not really fussed on game type, I like most things. I'm after something which is going to engross me for a while, perhaps RPG of some sort? I've never been a fan of Zelda, but this looks like the only 'good' one for the console, anyone else any suggestions? Or any other Wii games which are a 'must have'?

-Edit to add- I dont have a Wiifit board, so discount any games which require that

IS Mario Kart any good?

We've got a Wii but vary rarely stray form the tennis or bowling, although the missus does the balance stuff etc...

Would MK be fun for a non-serioius gamer such as she - rather than my full on xBox stuff?

Just looked. Conduit looks good. I can only find non-gameplay trailers for Ghostbusters and transformers which always worries me. Why use not in game video and all this cgi stuff?

For some reason i can't edit my previous one to add this. Anyway, mario kart is good, but gets repetitive quickly for me. Although it may 'last' a little longer if you're a casual gamer

Madworld. Black, white and red visuals. Creative killing and plenty of 'ooooooooooooo, nasty' moments. It's ace!

Mario Kart. Get some steering wheel addons and a few mates and it is a riot. Has all the old tracks from every Mario Kart game from the Snes to the Gameboy versions.

Virtua Tennis - theres only so much of Tennis I can play already having Wii Sports.

Will look up Madworld.

As stated above, already have Mario Kart.

Need For Speed, Undercover is quite good. Your mates will slag it off for not having PS3 or X-Box graphics but the gameplay with the wheel makes it great fun.

I got it for Christmas and have since completed it but I was hooked for a couple of months.

Ah find a copy of Marios Strikers Football. Basically 5 a side with Mario characters mixed with violence and a heavy metal sound track.

Maybe I just imagined it...

Was actually looking at Mario Strikers yesterday. I like football, and enjoyed NBA/NFL Street on my PS2. (Do they do NBA/NFL street for Wii?)

Try boom blox - created by steven speilberg and great fun when played with others. No online option though. I picked it up for a tenner and its got great replay value. Mario kart is also good online.

Also i play Drum King - think guitar hero but with drums. Thats a good laugh and good soundtrack to boot - turn the volume up biggrin

EDIT: Forgot to add - try Raving Rabids 2 etc.. !! They are excellent.

World of Goo via Wiiware download. Great game and you can use your free Wii points up.

Amazingly simple, addictive and at times bloody annoying...

De Blob is pretty sweet, too. Lots of bouncing around, not doing much.

Mad World seems a little disappointing, once past the gory fun... theres not much else to it.

Any suggestions for a really involving RPG?

Okami or Zelda would be my choices.
