Just what we need to slow XBL servers down :o(

Xbox & Sky
Sounds good in some ways, just hope it doesn't effect us gamers
One advantage, we now have the name of the head of Xbox UK for our RROD complaints

Then again, it might speed servers up.
If 10% of all users are watching TV instead of gaming then they're only going to be downloading and, other than Party Chats, not uploading game info and bogging down the servers. Possibly.
Good point, although it depends on the programme downloads and how bandwidth hungry the streaming is. Sky will more than likely push HD coverage as well, seeing as the Xbox is capable of doing so. Although i would have thought Microsoft would at least up server-availability to cope with increased media streaming and downloads... They better do if i'm going to continue paying for Gold Membership. If 10% of all users are watching TV instead of gaming then they're only going to be downloading and, other than Party Chats, not uploading game info and bogging down the servers. Possibly.
I'm also wondering whether they will introduce the same kinds of packages they do with the TV deals? I'd quite like it if the programmes you want to watch or missed on TV/sports were pay-per-view in some way, as i don't fancy signing myself up to Sky through the Xbox and paying a monthly fee when i'm already paying for Gold membership.
It will be interesting to see the new pricing structure for the services - will Gold members get a decent amount of stuff, or will you have to sign up with Sky to access more content?
