If you need any help installing different mods post on here as it can be a bit confusing untill you get used to it.

What wheel are you using?

You will need a wheel and pedals.

You couldnt drive a real car with a keyboard.

Some mods come with an installer that does it all for you.

Some need to be extracted to the correct folder in the directory.

Unfortunately the people who make the mods dont always explain which folders to use. Most people have done it all bfore so its not needed but if your new you wont know what to do.

I would start off with the Touring car legends mod.

If you click on the link below you can find a link to the mod and tracks we are using for the PH league.
All of these tracks are pretty good.
Once you have had a bit of practice then you can join in the league races smile

If you want to get racing online quickly then just look at the server list to see what mods and tracks are popular.
The ingame AI isnt brilliant so racing online is a better option.

This is a very handy site for downloading new mods and tracks.
They also have there own servers and run some competitions. These are almost always buisy so its a good place to race online

There are 3 different mod scenarios.

1) Some come with installers which do it automatically. So you just run the installer and point it at the main rfactor folder.

2) Some are RAR/Zipped up in proper folder structure so you just extract to the main rfactor folder and all the bits go in the right place.

3) Some people have packed them up in rfactor folder structure but have an extra folder at the top normally the name of the mod, just unpack those to a new folder on the desktop, go inside the "name" folder until you see the gamedata folder and select that and any folder alongside it and drag it onto the rfactor folder of your install. It will put everything in the right place.

Tracks work the same way for 1 & 2. Ignore scenario 3 for tracks, always install or copy over the track with all levels of folder name because sometimes they have been designed that way. Some track makers have plans for different layouts from different years to be installed later using the same top named track folder, but have separate folders within for each version.

Tried to make this as easy as possible but tricky, hope you understand it smile

You only have to do it a couple of times to get into the habit and knowing what to do everytime. Then it's easy.

The box says 1.4Ghz processor, 512Mb RAM, 128Mb Video RAM, 2Gb HD space, although obviously the faster the better. Options can be changed to improve the frame rates if necessary.
