Xbox 360 for 50 quid?

Well actually...

Play are selling a 'premium' 20 gig 360 for 50 quid, and as far as i'm concerned, that's pretty cheap!
But is this worth it? I have a PS3 and know NOTHING about the 360, so help me out.

Is it worth it? Or do I need to root around in the back of the sofa for more cash to get a better one?

At that price sir, surely no doubt in my mind that it's either suffering of the RROD syndrome or, atleast temporary cured of this mysterious disorder?

Most like myself are experienced at having this RROD and certainly know how microsoft like to handle with this issue

Before making the purchase, try asking the seller wether this 360 has ever had the RROD and also include wether the CD drive is in full working order, because at that price, surely it's a duff.

I'd only consider that if it was brand new and boxed, just old stock.
Second hand pre owned, wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.

My brother bought an RROD'd console off a mate of his and sent it straight off to MS...

Because the newer versions are soo mmuch better.
If you are someone that likes to buy secondhand stuff and mess around with returning consoles then go for it. But for just over 100 quid you can get a much better version that runs cooler and quieter.

An Elite for roughly £220 or a 60GB Premium for £160, although it depends on whether you want the extra 60GB of storage the Elite comes with though really.

Funnily enough I was thinking of selling a spare 360 that I have.

No RROD and fully working DVD. It's one of the non-HDMI versions and as such is a little noisier than the newer versions.

Only problem is, it's got a password on it which stops me from downloading content from Xbox Live.

Any idea how much mine would be worth on it's own, i.e. no cables, PSU, etc.
