Which game has the most realistic Le Mans track??
Discussion
Hi folks,
not really into computor games, but I'm gearing up for Le Mans this year, and want to try a few laps on a computor game, to get to know the circuit a bit from a drivers point of view.
Which game(s) have the best recreation of the Le Mans circuit???
The kids have a PS3 & Xbox, and I have a Mac.
Hope someone can help!!!
Cheers,
Effortless.

Race Driver : GRID has the circuit on it, both new and old (no chicanes).
I know people have their thoughts on how good/bad the game is, etc. But it's the only console version I am aware of.
I imagine there are a number of games for the PC with it that someone will be along to mention later. I don't know the games myself, and definately don't know any for the Mac.

Gran Turismo 4 easily.
Do it with a wheel in one of the Group C racers, then head down the full Mulsanne Straight (they've got both versions in the game) for one of the most intense driving game experiences there is, it will buck and writhe around whilst you struggle to keep the thing in a straight line. I came away sweating after a few laps.

As you have a PS3 you'll need to find out exactly what model it is as to whether you can play GT4 on it, if it was one of the early 60gb ones then it has a software emulator built-in that will allow you to play, any other PS3 model (40gb, 80gb etc) won't have this ability, so your best bet would be to look into something for the PC like R-Factor which will probably have the circuit available for download.
GT4 has the best Le Mans on a console, Grid looks nice but lacks the realistic handling. There was a Le Mans game for PS2 which wasn't particularly great but quite atmospheric. The best Le Mans I've driven on a computer is Virtua LM's Le Mans 1972-86 addon for Rfactor http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Le%20M... They are also working on a modern version I think.
