ANYONE have a slightly more definitive answer as to if/when this will be made?

I Loved RE IV and more Zombie killing and puzzles to solve sounds really good to me....

I don't think it will. They'd have to rebuild everything again from scratch as it's not going to be a simple port, due to the lower graphical and processing grunt of the Wii. Think you'll have to make do with Resi 4.

Oddly I read that it was going to happen it was just going to take ages....

I must confess I hope the Wii is powerful enough, because the gameplay style is awesome so I don't want to have to get a PS3 for such things...

Was playing this last night on the PS3, there's no way the Wii has the grunt for something like that. (PS its great)

Capcom could manage a Wii version in theory, but the gfx downgrade would be immense - it would look nothing like resi 5, perhaps a little better than 4, but not by a lot.

You'd have to downgrade all the textures, probably either bin he graphics engine or use lower poly models, substantially less zombies onscreen at once so levels will need to be redesigned...

I'd be suprised if we see that one tbh

Grab a cheap Xbox 360 (£125 new arcade model? My housemate picked one up with a couple of games secondhand for £80 a couple of weeks ago) and you've got something that will run the shiney games like this one - the Wii, for all its many good points, just doesnt have the hardware to compete on games like that one.

Is it really that powerful? It does look superb mind.

Have you seen RE IV on the Wii as a comparator?

If I have to get something it will be a PS3 (Blueray and the internet use is free), but I'd rather not have to get another new console when I just had to buy another Wii (because the old one had a fundamental hard drive failure)...

They really are that much more powerful. The ongoing joke is that the Wii is simply 2 Gamecubes sellotaped together and the reality isn't that much different, it really only is a tweaked Gamecube with a tiny bit more power, compared to the likes of the PS3 or 360 it really is showing its age (novelty control scheme aside).

Yes, I hsve seen PS3 games and they look better, faster, smoother, BUT RE IV on the Wii is not terrible.............

It really is the control system that makes the game for me, that's why I am keen to see it on the Wii.
