I never knew it could be done!

Downloaded X-link Kai,( http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/ ) sorted out my port forwarding and blow me it works.
Been having some terrific races with a buddy of mine, you can set up to 50 laps with strong tyre wear so plenty of pit stops.driving
Most you can have in an online race is 6
Cars will be whats in your favourites (arcade mode) or a default range of JGTC if empty
Track list can be changed in options/course reg settings

I usually hang around in the european lobby which is nearly always empty if anyone wants a race

yeah I know its an old game but I love itcloud9

edit : the latest 7.4 beta version of xlink does not work with the PS2, get the non beta

I could never get properly into it. It had horrible handling, boring a.i, sub standard graphics (GT3 but a bit more polished), cars sounded bad, and it was being overtook (if you pardon the pun) by most other racers at the time. I loved GT3, GT4 was not worth the 4 year wait. I will say though the tuning was great, loved that. GT5 has got to be a massive amount better to cope with the current gen of racing games.

Tried this once about 3 or 4 years ago and it never worked without the most horrendous lag. I tried playing this bloke from australia - it turned out he was a petrol head too and we chat which is cool.

Has it got an ethernet port? If it has you're good to go just hook it up to your router
