Tips for PGR4

I am struggling to hold a powerslide without piling into the wall and wondered if anyone had any tips to stop this from happening? Also I am crap at 'superstar'. How do I get a lot stars etc??

Any advice welcome.

Power-Oversteer is the way to do it!

Pretty self explanatory, braking hard for the corner quickly flick the wheel into it while burying the throttle to spin the back wheels. Once you have the smoke pouring off the tyres, hit it with full opposite lock briefly, then center the wheel and pray!

A wee Scandinavianflick usually does the trick as well, although IME it usually ends in a wall either way...

For the superstars, you can only collect 6 stars at a time (5 for 500+ kudos then 1 for kudos bonus), so there's no point continuing your heroic slides once you're over the 500 mark - just don't hit anything for the next couple of seconds to make sure you bag the points.

The grippy cars (low drifting rating) tend to be a bit rubbish for superstar unless you can string together points for good corners and high speed, and use the handbrake a bit to get the car sliding. I prefer fast, tail-happy cars that I can get round the circuit quickly while getting loads of points, and give me the free time near the end of the track to slide around to collect extra stars.

Once you get the hang of it, superstars is the one of the easiest events to get platinums for - happy drifting!
