If you are running a Ninja PC with an Nvidia card and find the detail levels are too low for you in the standard game setup you might want to have a look at nHancer - http://www.nhancer.com/
It can set higher AA and AF settings plus other features to make the game run in the highest possible detail and sharpness.
I'm running it on IL-2 Sturmovik and it works a treat.
