My mic is dead.

I now have no excuse. The w

I've put up with it for a while now, but it's come to the point where it is beyond a joke.
For those who would like to see its current state and would like a short briefing on how to temporarily hear the beastality related banter, I've uploaded a couple of pictures. (Sorry about s
tty iPhone pic quality)

God knows how this happened, the wife "found it like that"
But, I have found a fix.

Yes ladies & gentlemen, that is a cap with a broken mic masking taped to it. If you find yourself faced with this puzzling situation, then I've saved you a couple of minutes worth of head scratching!
I tried stuffing it under a beanie style hat, but unless it is tight enough to hold it against your ear then this idea won't work
I also got fed up wiggling the wire about to get "tuned in" to hear people, so I broke out the masking tape again.

Now, you will notice I've stuck it to the wheel.
Please, if you are planning on doing this don't be surprised if you go through endless amounts of tape tearing off and re-sticking to the bottom of a pad to play COD or the likes.
I like a bit of variety, so instead of just boring old sticky tape I would suggest switching between different colours of plumbing tape, Duck Tape, Masking Tape etc...
Anyway, I'll be off down to GAME at the next possible chance to pick up a new one of these overpriced gadgets so for the meantime, all I ask is that you put up with my mic related profanities!
As you were.
Nick.
