Anyone up for this? In the interest of fairness it should be limited to one class, preferably one of the R classes.

I'm st at organising things like this, but more than happy to take part, so any suggestions on how to run it?

You might find it better to use one of the A, B, C or D classes as there is a greater range of cars to use, if we used say R1 everyone would use the same car. We had a similar thing going on here when Forza first came out, we used class B, and it resulted in some close lap times.

I think that its a good idea, but seeing that it is a time trial, would it not be a better idea to use the same cars? Like the gran turismo thread! Because some of the drivers on here, not naming names *cough* red barron! are very very good at tuning cars!

I'd more than happily share my set up for the F333, if everyone is happy to use that car, my current best is in the low 6 mins.

Used to have epic battles with a couple of friends on Forza 1 with Nurburing time trials so certainly be interested in this, but prefer somthing less nutty

Class B? Limit the figure to 500 or so? I've always found it more fun if you can have diff cars, and it's surprising how close races are when the numbers are close

Keep it to either A class or R4's. However may be difficult to keep track of times as folks will already have entries (that may be very quick) at the tracks.

+1
R3's are good fun there, A-Class are good fun and the top end of B-Class can be, although not the typical aero race cars as they are seriosuly hurt by lack of straight-line oompf.
For B-Class my Cayman, for A my 997 GT3 RS or R8 and for R3, NSX.
Where and when? biggrin

Someone should decide on either a class, a single vehicle with limited p.i or just a p.i restriction. Looks like B,A,R4 or R3 are favourable.

Only reason i suggested R1 is because i'm currently stuck at 6:12 and unable to break any further.

How about a weekly time trial, starting off at group B and finishing on R1?

So starting with B class, on the Nurburgring, set a time and first person to do so post it back here or in a new thread before 20:00 21st March. The week after, A class, and so on.

Sounds fair, and gives everyone at least a week, depending on when they see this thread.

I may even offer a car gift to weekly winners, I've gone a bit mad at auction lately.

Any other suggestions on how to run things?

PS, If this falls off page one, give it a bump smile

Good idea, I'd better get cracking on a B class car then!
