For the past few hours now ive being reading on a few forums about this specualtion........

http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=114...

i dont think this is old news, but in my opinion very intresting and after reading through it, very exciting. The main quote is what's causing alot of speculation

Something so big is cooking, you can't even imagine the size of it.

And there is something else cooking, which you can't even imagine the price of it.

And the third thing is also in the oven, but you can't even imagine it's even baking. And besides that third thing there is something else in the oven, I'd say it's the oven itself.

And I guess everything will be presented in the gala dinner in the weeks or months to come, but at the E3 latest.

And then you'll find out that day of the Fiest is also known even today.

And yes, my NDA is killing me so much that I can't even tell you how much you should be hungry. But I can assure you it will be the Fiest of the Gods.

PS. Sorry if ive reposted, could see anything. smile

Good old Amar212, yeah I posted about it in the old GT5P time trial thread.

E3 in June is my take on when we'll hear something official from Sony & PD.

Sony are going to do a huge marketing push for this game because they know it will shift PS3's off the shelves. E3 will be the perfect event to launch the game, show off some of the features, tracks, cars etc. It will be out this year but definitely towards the end of the year.

Its not just going to suddenly appear for sale on Amazon and alike without any marketing.

It's Gran Tourismo so I bet that:

There are still f'all cars in each race.
The AI is crap
The AI cars are welded to the road
The licences are overblown and dull
There is too much pointless rubbish to do

Really I have stuck with GT even after GT3 I bought GT4 but that was the final straw, it's just a dull processing power demonstration.

GT4 is the only game where I have actually fallen asleep at the wheel, yes really I was so bored in one race I nodded off. Doesn't fill me with axcitment for GT5

[/rant over]

Sorry about that, just annoyed that a series that could have been amazing has been lazily dragged down.

Bizarre. So is this going to be basically a huge version of Prologue then, or something else entirely? Only ask as I played prologue recently, and it was poor, very poor. Can I just qualify that statement, as I was a dedicated Sony fanboy before, but I just fear that this game is never going to be able to live up to its monumental hype. Roll on Forza 3....

Um, so really, this is no news apart from something big is coming?

Is it going to give you the option of racing articulated lorries then?

Like the Tomy car toy gamer mock up - I had one of those - loved it! Wonder if you can get one to plug into a console... watch out G25!

Oh sorry that's fiesta of the gods. Perhaps that's what he's hinting at - the ford fiesta is going to be in this game. Wow, exciting.

Seriously though, some goon posts pretty much nothing at all of interest and it merits being repeated here?

Something massive is coming

Something so big you can't even see it with your eyes

And it smells of bullst

Well GT5P already has up to 16 cars in a race and this is one feature that apparently will feature in the final game. The AI is GT5P is also pretty good when you put it on max, and will often try to out brake you for the corner (I even had one try to come past on the outside). So far I have not once been hit from behind in the braking zone by a dum AI. I've also watched two AI cars contact and one slide off onto the grass.
I wont go into the handling in Pro physics mode, that might upset people who automatically hate the franchise.

Mind you, don't let these observations come in the way of your knowledge of the game as it currently stands (GT5P)
wink

ps. Love Forza2 but find myself hotlapping in GT5P much more these days. It just feels so much more connected and real the way the cars move about and respond to your inputs.

I completely agree.
I will end up buying a PS3 at some point (no doubt!) but I don't think it'll necessarily be because of GT5.
I just don't think it will live up to the massive hype that everyone seems to have chucked on it.
Surely FM3 will be released before it anyway? scratchchin

And no, that last comment wasn't to start a 'war', just an observation! smile

the problem with GT is the sound. the cars all sound like hairdryers, even when run through a decent surround sound system frown

that and after playing GTR on PC I realised how bad the GT handling model is frown
