A GT5 Prologue Time-Trial championship for anyone to join. It will consist of 12 events, posted below.

Points:

1st place - 10 points
2nd place - 8 points
3rd place - 6 points
4th place - 5 points
5th place - 4 points
6th place - 3 points
7th place - 2 points
8th place - 1 point

Rules:

1. All Time Trials are performed in Arcade Mode.

2. Professional physics only.

3. S2/S2 tyres only. (any other driver aids are up to you)

4. Try not to put laptimes in before the combo week begins, unless you have to. It'll be more enjoyable for everyone and keep the competition flowing better.

Events Calender:

1. Ford GTLM @ High Speed Ring __ Sat 7th March to Fri 13th March

2. BMW 135i Coupe @ London Reverse __ Sat 14th March to Fri 20th March

3. F2007 @ Fuji F __ Sat 21st March to Fri 27th March

4. TVR Tamora @ Eiger Reverse __ Sat 28th March to Fri 3rd April

5. Mazda RX8 @ Suzuka East __ Sat 4th April to Fri 10th April

6. Mazda Atenza 25Z @ London __ Sat 11th April to Fri 17th April

7. Blitz Dunlop ER34 @ High Speed Ring Reverse __ Sat 18th April to Fri 24th April

8. F40 @ Daytona Road __ Sat 25th April to Fri 1st May

9. VW Golf V Gti @ Fuji GT __ Sat 2nd May to Fri 8th May

10. Evo IX tuned @ Eiger __ Sat 9th May to Fri 15th May

11. Honda NSX-R @ Suzuka __ Sat 16th May to Fri 22nd May

12. * Too be chosen by leader when race is due.

Each time trial you do online, will be stored in the online rankings. Hopefully, most people involved in the points should be able to get into the top 100 so the times are visible. However, as time goes on the competition in all of the possible combinations of cars/tracks increases and gradually they are all being full up with some very decent times. For example, the F1 @ Fuji, the times are all very close. We will have to rely on people being honest at these said events!

As an incentive and a bit of fun, I will be giving out prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the end of the championship. Also, one prize to the person with most wins (who doesn't finish in the top 3).

Have fun!

(p.s. If I've missed anything, PM me and let me know. It'd be nice to keep this topic as on topic as possible, so that any new comers don't have to troll through about 46pages to get the hang of the competition wink )

This website will be very useful. It shows all of the online rankings!

Other thread says Integra in race 6 at London.
Why the change?

I went to change a few, but this is the only change that took place. I felt that the Integra has been done to death, plus...it was only something like 1.6 seconds gap from 1st to 100th, where the gap on with the Mazda is over 5 seconds. It's also a nice car, which is FWD and similar power.

Ian, not wishing to derail your hard work type , but you've chosen several cars
that have already been used, either before or during the last championship.

Lotus Evora
BMW Concept 1 Tii
TVR Tuscan
(i'll let you off the NSX!)

It would be nice to have completely different cars this time, a simple solution
would be:

BMW 135i Coupe
TVR Tamora '02
-and something else instead of the Evora...

Just my 2p's worth smile Good work so far!

Golf MkV GTI instead of the the Evora. I really wanted to get the Golf in there somewhere...

No way!

I just did loads of races last night to save up and buy the Evora.

I don't think the dealer will give me my credits back somehow!

I guess the trade-in on the Evora would afford me the Golf though?

However, I also bought the TVR mentioned in Ian's list.
If that goes...make it a cheapish replacement please, as I need to spend some time racing to save for the Ferrari F40 (450k)!

Sorry mate this was reason I made the used car list out in the other thread to enable us to use different cars.

Golf V GTi '05 is 32,750 credits
TVR Tamora '02 is 70,940 credits
BMW 135i Coupe '07 is 64,300 credits

I don't see a problem in running cars that have been used in past events. I for one, didn't do them nor did I do the first half of the last championship!

Unless Get-Karter is keen to change the cars he's just bought, I think it's only fair to leave them unchanged for now incase other people are in the same boat.

And what about those people who have?

It would be nice to keep it interesting for us lot. We've only used 29 cars out of 74 currently available. By my ccensoredp calculations that leaves 45 cars to go at.
There is only 12 tracks available, so we can't do anything different from that aspect.

What does everyone else think?

To be honest, I'm not overly fussed. Like last time I will not be doing every round and am not as committed as some of you guys, so it's only fair that the 'serious gamers' choose the rules of the game.

ETA. On re-visiting my GT5 garage, I didn't buy the TVR, only the Evora, Mazda Atenza 25Z and Evo IX Tuned. Hopefully we'll still use the Mazda and Mitsubishi?

Sorry Rufus, since you put it like that I agree. I'll change them over and since it's cool with Get-Karter too, everyone's happy smile

Adjusted.

Thanks for being magnanimous Ian.

It just keeps it that bit more interesting for us old farts that have been doing GT5P time trials for a while.

Game on then. driving

I have some of the cars, so I might have a pop at the ones I can. I will be doing it on offline Arcade mode though, I don't have online.
