Went live earlier today.. Had to wait about 50 minutes in a queue only to reach the download screen, which required a browser restart. Upon rejoining and waiting in another queue for another 50 minutes i found out it doesnt work well with my browser (maybe a plugin problem, everything worked except the mouse pointer confused).. However it did run very fast which is a good sign since this game needs a lot of FPS, and secondly my laptop manages to run world of warcraft at about 5 fps, so seeing 30-40fps Quake is a very good sign... Now trying again in a Internet Explorer...

I used to love quake 3, i fear my work productivity is going to nose dive in the next hour..

Wish this queue thing would hurry though, there are noobs that need pwning... hehe

Been waiting 20 mins for a game so far...

They've learnt a lot from XBL on all the friends, skills, etc. Looks really good on that score. Hopefully I'll get a game soon...

From the games I played, the matchup system really seemed to work. Games were very close

Edit: I've added you to my friends. Going to sleep now though, so glad I don't have work in the morning tongue out

Got a few games in already, i have to say this is simply awesome! It's perfectly quake3, but with more maps, no problems at all with responsiveness, very suprising considering its running in a browser. Wish they would get some more capacity as they seem to be struggling with demand.

Oh happy days!

They've stated that they're trying to ramp up capacity gradually.. it's still only a beta, so I'm assuming the real deal won't even have any queues

I'm getting some bad lag problems actually, being based in HK seemed to have confused its matchmaking, as it initially put me in with UK servers (i presume it is looking at my email address or something).. Nearest servers i can find are in australia were i suffer 400 > 999 ping, unplayable in some cases. Noooo!

3200 in the queue to download, then after the download and login, start queueing again at #6000 odd.

Better be worth the wait...

I've got AL on my twitter feed, and they're honest with thier updates. It's been on and off all day/night, and it'll probably be like that for a fair while. Oh well...
