Slightly odd...
Discussion
Basically in December my Xbox gave me the wonderful Red Ring Of Death, which wasn't a major issue as most of the titles I own, I also have on Windows Live, although i do miss using my xbox as a media hub.
However the weird part is, I logged onto xboxlive.com today to arrange a repair so I can get around to playing the new GTA content, only to be notified that all my warranty's, including the three year warranty's have expired, which is a tad odd as I bought the console in September 2006 - and to the best of my knowledge, these are electronically registerd to begin on the date of purchase.
When I first bought the console, it had a selection of rather crappy emo-metal music already preloaded onto it, which I guessed was just sample music MS had aimed at their (alleged) demographic, although now being told by mates that none of their consoles had music on it when they bought it.
So does it look like i've been sold a preowned xbox? Or even reconditioned? I bought it from Game, as new for £280 in September 2006, still have receipts and console serials/id's, worth having a sharp word with the manager tomorrow?
Cheers!

Yeah I'd have thought it'd be wiped as default either way, although slightly less chance if it's the responsibility of a Game employee as opposed to an MS repair facility. There was no user accounts, just a few random punk/emo tracks, figured MS just put them there to show off their shiny visualiser
