Ok not sure if this has been posted before as im sure im pretty behind the time for this with cod5 out now, but thought id ask anyway?
Anyone know the point of the prestige mode on cod4? All i can gather is you start all over again getting wound up trying to get better weapons etcetc is it worth me bothering to carry on??

I'd rather spend all that time doing all the weapon challenges to get Sadams Gold AK-47, something other players can see and respect/be scared of....
Yeh I've been trying to work through the challenges... but got to the point where Its taking soooooooooo long to get 150 headshots with each weapon its becoming daft! I think the golden AK would make me think "christ, how much time have they spent playing this game?" rather than give them any respect.Remember "you're only as good as the last game you played"

My advice, sell COD4 tomorrow and buy COD5 as you get rewarded for the prestige up in 5 not 4. Also the bulk of PH COD team are on 5 now as well.

My advice, sell COD4 tomorrow and buy COD5 as you get rewarded for the prestige up in 5 not 4. Also the bulk of PH COD team are on 5 now as well.
i would buy cod5 and start that online but only have a week before i deploy to afghanistan again for the real thing so will wait till i return and give cod5 a bash, but in till then cod4 it is.

Stick with 4. Cod5 is pants.. cartoon version of a decent game. Bring on 6 when it goes back to IW, now that WILL be worth buying.. 
As for prestige, it's an individual choice. I found myself wanting to keep aiming for the next level and when I got to 10, then I went for the challenges. headshots can be a b1tch sometimes but then hey, it would be no fun if it was easy.. slightly disappointing to have a gold dragunov and not a barrett but thats what you get..
