COD4 is frighteningly addictive. I've heard (but not played) bad things about COD5.

I'd go straight to COD5. The multiplayer on World at War is better, bigger maps, more tactics, co-operative play, zombies etc.

sorry, didnt mean to start a "war". Just wanted to know which game is best to start with. I must admit I prefer the modern warfare.

Cheers

The most important thing is that they are finally fixing the frankly rubbish 'lobby' system on the PS, but not sure if it's across all the CODs. Now at least you can message people in-game and leave with party etc. Should be the mandatory minimum.

Coming from Team Fortress 2 on the PC, it's so poor on PS.

Agree with whoever said the multiplayer on WaW is better, the maps really are fantastic. COD4 is better for the single player mode though. All IMHO of course!

COD4 definately. The maps are laid out excellently.

COD5 maps are just too damn big.

COD1: united offense! I didn't think that much of COD2, was fun enough but never felt engrossed in it.

well i loved them both, but 2 captured my imagination as it came out not long after i went to normandy, so re-enacting the d-day landings was just incredible for me, having not long been to several of the places in the region of major significance.

Pegasus bridge in COD1 was of similar enjoyment* to me

  • enjoyment seems completely wrong given the massive losses suffered during the landings but i dont know how else to convey the way i felt playing those missions.

COD 4.

Simply the best game in years.

Although. I'm getting 5 tomorrow so I "might" change my mind. I will post opinions either way..
