As above, one of the original ones, bought on the day of release. No receipts etc & the 3 RROD's popped up today.

Is there anything I can do? have read about MS offering repairs on all of them, but I don't know if thats the case or not.

It was the original 'base' model, and I would look to replace it, but there seems to be a few different ones available now, and i'm a bit confused.

I couldn;t care less about the big hard drive, but the one thing I would like to take advantage of is the Hi Def aspect (TV is all good for that). Does that work on all the current range? Or is it some lead I need to get?

Help!

I spoke to the resident hardcore gamer guy at work who suggested trying anyway, so I did. MS said its technically out of the 3 year warranty too, but they will fix it anyway smile

Just got to go through the motions of getting it sorted now.

I am however, struggling to find an answer to the whole HDMI thing and early consoles. Is it possible to run it in proper HD, considering its age & being only the base model at the time? Or is the best i'm going to get one of the HD Component cables?

its easy sending it back just print off the USP delivery note and contact them with a pick-up time and place

for the first gen ones your best bet is a HD componant cable...that's what i use
