Old computer game

a couple of guys at work and myself were ttalking aboiut the best games of all time, and there was one game i played a bit when i was young but can't remember what it was called...

All i remember is that it was all text based no images or anything and you had to give the right commands or ask the right questions to move forward... was all in ms dos kinda mode...

Any ideas, i 27 so circa 1989 ?

There were loads like that, I remember one like that called Crime where you had to commit various acts, always seemed to end with my bladder bursting in it as I couldn't find the toilet.

That narrows it down to all the text based adventures of that era.
The only one I can remember was The Hobbit on my brothers Oric Atmos.
You had to be very specific with your typed commands...
"Give Smaug the Arkenstone" was usually followed by a reply of "Sorry I do not understand that".
Eventually it got down to hammering on the keyboard "Stick the Arkenstone up Smaugs ****ing ass".

I never completed it.

hahaha yeah i did not really help much there.... but found it it was called castle.... flipping hard !

Had anouther on the C64 called Hacker... anyone else play that ?

Years ago I played a text adventure game on the C64, I think called the quest, had to say Tzanth to a dwarf

I had that on the Amstrad - never really got anywhere with it.
