How do I get into an online Xbox game??
Discussion
I just finally hooked up the '360 to the internet, got the months freebie gold membership etc, downloaded the freebie GOW2 add ons (which I now have no idea where they are in the gsme) but I just can't seem to find how to slip myself into an on line chainsaw fest.
Simple instructions if possible.
I also spent a happy hour getting the '360 to talk to our wireless laptop, as my wife is convinced she can show the lap top display on our big tv, and also surf the net there, but I can't get it to do it. I can, however, see the contents of the hard drive on the tv, so it is connected.
My handle is King Herald, if anybody wants to invite a green newbie into a gentle game some time.

I'll add you mate.
GOW2 is a b
h to get into multiplayer games with, public ones at least.
They've acknowledged there's a problem and will be doing something about it apparantly.
Best bet, get a bunch from here on your list and either host or get invited to a hosted game. Co-op and horde are best anyway

Do you have any decent games? Theres plenty of us on call of duty who would be happy to send you an invite.

Do I need the microphone and stuff to be a serious one man killing machine?
I've been gaming for years on and off, but never live before.
Wow you have a lot of questions.
You not got a mate who lives near you who has an xbox too?
It would be a lot easier for someone to just show you how to use it.
As for what your wife said, you cant show the laptop display on your tv without directly connecting it to the telly, it cant go through the xbox.

I have some nephews, who are probably into it. I'll slip round and see them, see whether they are on Xbox. You not got a mate who lives near you who has an xbox too?

I'm $hit too, and a bit shy on the mic, I just feel like a w@nker talking out loud to the TV!
Phew! I thought it was just me - everyone else is so talkative, but I feel like a right tw@ sitting there with a headset on! Especially if the gf's in the same room, looking at me funny every time I make a comment to my 'imaginary friends'... Dave s13 xx
